Russell Martin: 55.3 fWAR in 1641 G
Brian McCann: 55.9 fWAR in 1706 G
Joe Mauer: 51.1 fWAR in 1858 G

Or…
Joe Mauer 55 WAR
Russell Martin 37.7 WAR
Brian McCann 31.9 WAR
ABCD
First post is probably Fangraphs. 2nd post is probably Baseball Reference. Fangraphs introduced pitch framing to their WAR calculation this year. Martin and McCann excelled at that thru their careers. Not sure if Mauer is getting full credit or if he was any good at framing.

Joe Mauer: 1,178 games from when he came up to 2013 (the last year he caught) he put up a war of 44.7
Buster Posey has played 1,192 games and has a war of 41.5
Yadier Molina: 1,924 games. War of 39.1
Salvador Perez: 942 games. War of 22.3
JT Remaulto: 605 games. War of 15.4

And as the previous comments said
Russell Martin has played 1641 games, 37.7 war
Brian McCann has played 1706 games, war of 31.9.
Look at this as you will. But it clearly states who the best catcher out of this group is. The only person close is Posey. Yeah he will likely pass Mauer in Career WAR, but he has already played more games then Mauer did behind before he got injured and he is still trailing by enough games that it will probably take him another year to catch Mauer’s catching war.

Behind the plate*
Posey is still trailing by enough WAR that it will probably*

This was a fun chat. Enjoyed the bit of humor tossed in!

It’s looking more and more clear that the money the Yankees spent on half measures like Happ and CC would have been better spent on an elite player on a long term deal.
Even if it would have been considered an overpay or risks some dead money in 5 years.
