I see readers still don’t understand the fact that Joey Votto has a full NTC and has said multiple times that he wants to spend his entire career in Cincinnati.
Speaking as someone who is a fan of neither team, I’d trade Greinke for Donaldson straight up in a heartbeat.
But what benefit would it be to either teams? The Braves have made it clear they won’t spend at that level—Greinke still has a couple of years on his deal at top-top of the market money—and what does Donaldson do for the DBacks for 3 months? The DBacks would be better served paying down some of Greinke’s deal and getting a return that might actually mean something to them.
Braves get a great pitcher and dbacks clear 26% of their salary for the next few years…
We are 🙂
Keuchel o/u 4.50 ERA this season?
Under. Keuchel normally has a pretty good first half of the year. I would take the under on a 4 ERA too.
He had an awful first half last year. I’d take the over, just a tad.
“Since the Yankees missed out on the chance to sign Keuchel, which seemed weird that he could have accepted a one year deal also and helped a team in playoff contention, what moves do you think they should make?”
Did I miss something? Aren’t the Braves in playoff contention?
I caught that also. That’s the typical type of question from Yankees fans because they think that team is just the greatest thing ever and can’t fathom that not every player would want to join that organization.
