Yes cano is the worst trade for the Mets ever. For you cute mets fans, you have the next 4 years to watch his contributions dwindle. There is no position for a slow 2B player and there will be no DH in the NL unless Fred can get Bid Seelig to change the rules—and we all know that this is not changing.
Lazy, slow and disinterested, he’s a bad investment all around.

Yates to Houston is my early prediction.

Plenty of buyers out there for Yates wonder what top 50 prospect he brings back. Would love to keep but we have a roster crunch so he has to be moved.

Plenty of options out there too. Will Smith, Tony Watson, Shane Greene, Ken Giles, Alex Colome and those the ones off the top of my head. There’s probably a few more good options.
Yates is the best performer of them all this year but those other options still look pretty good and will look even better if the Padres really do push for a top 50 guy.
