If you have T-Mobile you get a free year of MLB TV Premium through their T-Mobile Tuesdays app (you have to redeem it by April 1st tho)
I got banned, guys., I think for reporting my comments too much
Wish me luck. Will try to fight this, No guarantee.
It’s been a pleasure talking baseball with all of you!
-X.
PS: Would be cool to get an explanation why. Not necessary, but cool nontheless… Thank you ! for all you’ve done for this sport!
Just get a new username. Who cares?
Looks like a prime radio-only day for those games.
Seriously. I’m not giving ESPN any money. Insider tanked w/ their decisions, + is the same thing.
Not even close.
Thank you espn for your east coast bias, none of us want your awful commentators on opening day. the only thing worse would be Joe Buck on opening day
Want a little more Gaperon with that whine?
East coast bias.. HAHA.. Not even close, more like just horrid announcers like back to the start of the Joe Morgan days and only time got better was short time they had john Kruk and he wouldn’t conform to their obsessive rules, so left that institution and they have been horrid (again) since.
opening day ruined for fans of those teams, unless try to listen via radio.
Please MLB, forget the cash ESPN throws your way, or make them take the home team announcers and get rid of the awful people espn employs.
blah blah blah East Coast bias. Its sickening to hear so often, especialy given the lack of hard truth behind it.
“east coast bias” Not only is ESPN now primarily brodcasting from LA, but their first broadcast, on opening day, was from Seattle. Soooooo……
it was because they were playing the Red Sox…
also John Smoltz
I’ll be watching in class 😉
Let’s go Yankees!
Your priorities are messed up…
What’s better, skipping class to go? or watching in class and still at least able to follow along w/ class?
Priorities are fine. Watching sports on your phone in class were the days
Laptop* Some professors allow it, some dont. Lucky, Opening Day overlapped with a chill professor, of a very boring class.
Bonus: Last seat in the back! While recording the lecture on my laptop. I’m living the dream.
If you have T mobile you can get free MLB TV. Someone just sent link to me and it works. Google T mobile free mlb tv 2019.
I’m watching the YES broadcast because it is less biased to the Yankees than ESPN.
Why pay communist sports network anymore?
“Communist sports network” gave me a good laugh
“This is a sponsored post from ESPN+.”
Tim, you sold your soul to the devil.
Ya who likes food or clothes or paying bills…
More of a shot against ESPN.
I try let that bias, be known. He’s still sir Tim 🙂
Only good thing, from ESPN is Tim Kurkjian.
lol
Yeah, but that voice…..
I could watch SVP and Kurkjian all day
I wouldn’t watch ESPN with your tv.
Have to admit that I LOL’D. Well done.
I wouldn’t loan you my tv to do so. That would ruin it.
ESPN can #### me.
When’s the last time ESPN aired a White Sox game anyway?
2005, when they thought the Cubs won the World Series.
Eastern Standard Players Network. Nah . . .
Hehehehe. Perfect.
The Giants team is pathetic. The new GM did nothing but crap this offseason the Giants are going to score the least amount of runs in come in last place worst record in all of baseball
They are probably in Orioles/Marlins territory. Amazing how quick they’ve fallen off.
I friggin can’t stand ESPN. Every time they get an exclusive game, I can’t watch it live on my mlb.tv streaming package, even though I pay for the Premium package.
Same goes for worthless Facebook when they get games.
MLB is so worried about losing younger fans, but then don’t accept that younger fans DONT use cable and still restrict all of these streaming options by cable. They only have themselves to blame
Well espn would fit in the millennials no? And espn + would fit any better if you count it as streaming
It would fit perfect except for one thing, out of market games. Not all but most millennials and fans of a team in general are going to live near the team they support and in the TV market. I would gladly pay $5 a month if I could watch games live but blackout restrictions are an archaic practice that MLB needs to move away from like the NFL has done if they want younger fans.
Love to see this post, if it helps keep MLBTR free for us, bring ’em on! Love the site.
Sunday Night Baseball has shown the Rockies 12 times in 28 years. They have shown just Yankees v Red Sox 12 times in the past 4 years, And I guarantee they would show it more if they could. ESPN is a fine regional network for Yankees or Red Sox fans. For me, I’ll pass.
It’s also the biggest rivalry in baseball, pulling in the biggest TV ratings, which pull in the bigger ad revenue dollars.
If ESPN fired Keith Law, then I might click.
But not before.
Huh? Why would they fire Keith Law, who is one of the smartest baseball minds out there? I’m sincerely curious why you would write this.
Because Keith Law hates your favorite team. No matter who you root for.
Keith’s burner
Agreed.
ESPN is so far removed from it’s glory days. And watching baseball with those announcers…ugh. Their Sunday night team is almost as bad as their Monday night football team.
The new MIC (Mousketeer in Charge) at ESPN has at least realized there’s a problem; the hiring of Jeff Passan (whose current free article on the site should be required reading for any baseball fan) was brilliant.
They’ve dipped just about everywhere; viewership, ad revenue, credibility. But I can see a turn-around.
I’m no fan of ESPN, but it’s MLB that deprives us of games despite its “watch every game” sales job. Before renewing my subscription this year I wrote ‘customer service’ and asked which games were going to be blacked out nationally this year. They said that they did not know but the full list would be posted before the regular season began. I’m still waiting.
I don’t watch any MLB games on espn. I have been boycotting espn since 2016.
tim – pick a direction
you still do not put a banner on top when you have a chat ongoing
once it falls a few stories you just do not know
the chats are great and unique
banner them on all 4 sites and see if you can drive cross traffic
but make sure these guys take them serious, can’t be late, forget to
show, etc.
gotta pick a lane in this competitive environment
