Tom Seaver or Nolan Ryan. Which pitcher do you take?
bravesfan
I love Ryan, so I take him. Good question though
JJB
Now? Tom Seaver has dementia, so he probably wouldn’t be very good. Nolan Ryan might be able to dial it up into the high 60’s, so I’d probably choose him.
MWeller77
As much as I usually love absurd humor, I suggest reconsidering this one: dementia really isn’t something to joke about
Cat Mando
Tasteless dementia joke aside, it’s reminiscent of the old Ty Cobb interview….
How much do you think you would hit if you were playing today?’ came another question.
‘About .320,’ he said.
‘Why that low?’ the startled reporter asked.
‘You have to remember I’m 62 years old,’ said Cobb without the trace of a smile.

Dear Braves, fix the bullpen… sincerely all braves fans
braves2
there were a lot of good pitchers in bp, they just got taxed. Id like to say snit doesnt let his starters go long enough but that seems to be pretty much all managers nowadays
casualatlfan
Bullpen was middle of the pack in just about every area. It could use improving, definitely, but saying it needs “fixing” is an overreaction.
steelerbravenation
Bullpen will be fine

Putting Rhys Hoskins as the headline for Mike Trout makes perfect since for the Phillies maybe even the Angles, if Trout doesn’t want to resign with the Angles and has a full no trade.
Luis Garcia, Alec Bohm, and Rhys Hoskins, would this be enough for the Angles to move Trout to the Phillies at this years deadline. Certainly the Angles will try and extend Trout but if 10/ years and 350mil is not enough. Do this Phillies have enough assuming Trout will extend with the Phillies now rather then 2020 in a sign and trade?

You’re insane.

try headbutting a concrete wall sometimes. it may cure you.
VonPurpleHayes
The Phillies are not trading Hoskins, especially for someone they can potentially sign as a free agent.
Harper’s contract is structured in such a way that the Phillies will still be able to make a legitimate run at Trout. That being said, despite what fans want, I highly doubt Trout will be giving the Phillies a hometown discount, so it’s still a longshot.

My problem with the Brewers blog about them going after Keuchel is that at 2 years, 30 million, pretty much any team would be in on that. I’m pretty sure 2/40 is probably the minimum he’d take on a 2 year deal anyhow.
Joeyjoejoe
Agreed. I really don’t see him taking a 2 year deal and if he does he’ll be 2/40. No way in hell he settled for $15mm annual on a short deal.
brewsingblue82
Exactly because as soon as word got out that someone offered him 2/30 if teams even thought he was considering it, easily a dozen teams would jump in with the same offer, ones with 3rd year options of like 20-25 mil option years, or just push it to 2/40.

Everyone should listen to the Baseball Rabbi it’s one of the smartest podcast I’ve heard.
