Come on Giants! I’m regretfully feeling a last place team this year. Bobby Evans should be fired twice a day for putting that expensive, boring, non hitting team together!
Regardless, I’m glad baseball is here! Go Giants!

That brought you 3 World Series.

Brian Sabean was the architect of those 3 championships. While Evans had a hand in constructing the roster, Sabean pretty much made the moves that propelled them to that dynasty.

That wasn’t Bobby Evans my friend, and I’ll be forever grateful for the 3 championships.
My overall point is the Giants have not been good since the all star break in 2016.

And now you have the stone cold soulless Farhan.
Nobody is safe.

I feel as though asking people if they would pay for something isn’t the best way to approach trying to monetize site features. People do not want to pay for things so they will naturally respond in kind.
Might be better to figure out which features/aspects people value most or find the most indispensable and think through the least obstructive ways to monetize those features.
That said, low hanging fruit that doesn’t take anything away from the typical user, like the ad free memberships mentioned, are almost no brainers (unless there’s no uptake).
Heck I bet requiring a low cost subscription to comment would help clean up the comment sections and potentially make them worth reading through again for any given post. I doubt it would have much of a negative effect on readership. And would probably create even greater engagement (and therefore more potential value) among the highest volume users.

I disagree. I would pay for a subscription. I would also pay for the extra chat idea. I wouldn’t want money to determine who comments though.

The last part was more of a joke. The comments on most posts quickly turn into back and forth schoolyard arguments offering no value to a reader. Not quite ESPN-esque but edging closer.
