These chats should be called “Repetitive question and answer sessions”. Because thats all they are. Its the same questions and answers over and over, and yet, we keep hearing, oh, we choose them. Yet, they dont choose different questions. So asinine

Perhaps you should start your own website and weekly chat where you answer only the top questions. Let us know when it is up and running.

I am just saying, the chat leader could be like, hey guys, ask different questions because they are all the same, or else I will end the chat. I enjoy the chats, but they are just repetitive.

i tried to reply to agree with you, but it’s currently awaiting moderation. So, I agree w/ you.
that’ll have to suffice.

#L1C4Life. Everything is a business. This site has to sell advertising on slow news days.

You could try not swearing in multiple comments with your replies — it’s not that difficult.

Excellent logical fallacy sir/ma’am.

Agreed

…or you could post your own unique questions on this bulletin board and someone will answer. May not have the insight or professional discourse that a moderator would have, but you may learn something. I agree with you to a certain extent, but there’s only so many things you can really talk about after you have just named 1 of the 30 teams that Harper, Machado, Keuchel and/or Kimbrel could go to. If I had to write about this traffic jam of an off-season, I’m sure MLBTR are the first ones to lay on the horn and scream for someone to haul arse. Look forward to seeing those questions. Seriously.

Pretty hard to regulate hundreds of questions coming in each time…
Steve Adams
The number of repetitive questions we receive is enormous, and there are quite literally thousands sent in over the course of a chat.
It’s also not worth answering “Who will sign this player and when?” which is the most prevailing type of question we receive in these chats, because no one knows the answer to that question.
The stagnant flow of the offseason also makes it extraordinarily difficult for new topics to arise. If Realmuto would finally be traded or Machado would finally sign, then perhaps we’d have something new to discuss.
It is also worth bearing in mind that most participants don’t join weekly — and many don’t even follow along with MLB news all that closely. High-level questions are frequently asked because that’s the level at which some people choose to follow the sport.
Ultimately, no one is forcing you to participate. If they’re not for you, or if you disagree with my opinions or my hosting style, I’m sorry to hear that, but there’s no pleasing everyone.

Either that, or you could start your own website and weekly chat where you answer only the top questions. Let Eta34 and I know when that is up and running.

If I were machado and really could get a one year 40MM deal I’d take that tomorrow and sign a long term deal next year.
James1955
Is next year going to be any different than this year? If Machado gets injured or has an off year, his value goes down.
canocorn
But would you play the game ‘all-out’, knowing an injury could cost you, your wife, and your children’s children’s children hundreds of million$?
