The Rangers announced tonight that they have non-tendered righty Matt Bush. He’ll be followed out the door by three other players who were not arb-eligible: Ricardo Rodriguez, Zac Curtis and Adrian Sampson.
Bush is still recovering from surgery; evidently, the club isn’t terribly optimistic on his outlook. The former first-overall pick reemerged in Texas as a flamethrowing reliever, but his initially excellent showing has not held up over time. He’ll still be an interesting bounceback target for some other clubs, with a return to the Rangers also a possibility.

Bush. After you killed a person, you made your “apology” all about you. You’re a shady, selfish individual.
Falsehope
Didn’t kill anyone
Dotnet22
He would have if the guy wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time…the rest of the comment is true.
pinstripes17
Who did he kill?
Frisco500
My bad… the guy didnt die. But look it up…. Major TBI and the guys life is ruined. It’s a sad story. For the victim. Not Bush, who btw never saw fit to help the man financially. Hes a piece of S

Not sure this is the place for this.

Pretty self-righteous. Bush served time in prison and was released. You pay restitution to all the people you screwed over in your life too? No? Then who are you to say anything?

Homerism is mental illness.

I think he and others are allowed to throw stones because we aren’t spoiled alcoholics who run people over

Great words…stand up, where do you stand as a human being?!

Fine with these drops except for Ricky Rodriguez. Never did great in MLB, but was hurt a lot and had great numbers in the minors. I think he’ll be good wherever he goes

Bush should have never had a job in the first place. You mess up in life THAT bad, then you shouldn’t be allowed the privilege to be in MLB. Go be an accountant or something, bye.
pinstripes17
Get off your high horse, bruh.

Accountants require higher morals than f*cking baseball players, chief. Find a new slant

I know him and he’s actually a decent sort, but I get how he can’t come back (reputation-wise) from what he did in the minds of many.
Alcohol in any amount isn’t suitable for some.
Losing Super Two status by 1 or 2 days won’t be as financially damaging to him as we thought.

Don’t restrict a man from what he’s talented in because of his mistakes in life. Maybe end run he can help those who are on the same path…
Texassooner
I don’t like what he did. Glad he paid his due. Getting a second chance in life is what all of us would want / need.
I’m glad he got the opportunity. I’m glad he had an initial strong showing. Hopefully, he gets through his recovery and is able to keep pitching in a Ranger uniform on the ML level for many years more.

Ranger fans I know you need SP & I read that the Rangers had high interest in Gohara at the deadline last year. Any chance of a Gohara/Leclerc ??? Would it take more & how much more
ty11
Is this a joke? Lecrec is way better
AidanVega123
Gohara definitely wouldn’t get the job done.
