The latest minor league transactions from around baseball…
- The Brewers announced (Twitter link) the signing of left-hander Angel Perdomo to a minor league deal with an invitation to their big league Spring Training camp. Baseball America ranked Perdomo as the 18th-best prospect in the Blue Jays’ minor league system prior to the 2017 season, though the southpaw hit something of a wall in high-A ball, spending the last two seasons at the level and posting a modest 3.67 ERA, 2.12 K/BB rate, and 9.6 K/9 over 154 2/3 innings. The 24-year-old Perdomo did miss time to injuries in each of the last two years, however, so better health and a fresh start in Milwaukee’s organization could get his career back on track.

You’re right. 5 days into the offseason and only one trade. This is looking to be a slow one

If you are bored, go through the transaction pages of all the levels, and pick out some MLB and MiLB free agents for your team. There are hundreds. Keeps me and my kid busy as I wait for the new round of special counsel indictments.

I like the cut of your jib good sir. I want the indictments to rain down so hard the president skips another opportunity to honour veterans.

A lefty with a mid-90’s heater that can punch guys out, just turned 24. Should have been converted to a reliever and given a shot with the big club. Lefties with heat are a premium.
But the Jays needed to mess with Drake, Rauschild or whoever else was 30 and can’t pitch.

Yep, certainly a slow day in baseball when a team signing Angel Perdomo can generate a dozen posts. I’ll wager 99% of baseball fans never even heard of this guy before the Brewers signed him. Be patient boys and girls, big FA splashes are gonna resonate shortly when the likes of Machado, Harper, Corbin, Keuchel etc. ink mega contracts. And you just know one or more big name players are gonna get traded from a rebuilding team to a contending team. Joey Votto, anyone? Madison Bumgarner? JT Realmuto? I’m just hoping my Phillies open up their checkbook and sign a few big names.

The Brewers Scouting Department and their GM, as usual were on their toes picking up this lefty!!! He will pay off for them.
