Does anyone know who gets a World Series ring? Is it just the players on the 25 man WS roster? Or is it anyone who had an AB or played the field at all for them over the course of a year?

I could be wrong, but I think it varies depending on the team throughout the years. Maybe I’m thinking more about the shares instead of the ring itself.

It’s up to the individual team but generally speaking, everyone who appeared for the team that year gets one. Dan Uggla got one from the Giants in 2014, for example.
Jean Matrac
Bengie Molina got both a WS winner, and runner-up ring, in 2010.

Wow…I didn’t know a player could get more than one World Series rings in a single year from 2 different teams. Stands to reason though.

Years ago there were no rings. Players got things like pins. Once the more expensive rings started some guys requested things like cuff link. I forget who, but one player got a WS shotgun. It’s all up to the club as to who and how many. I read somewhere that when KC ordered thier 700 rings even stadium ushers received one.

It’s whoever participated in the 2018 regular season, doesn’t matter how small of an impact just as long as they played.

It’s still up to the team. Some teams do reward whoever suited up but it’s not a rule. There are also “type A” and “type B” and “type C” rings
As to how many and who gets them…..The BoSox gave out 500 after the 2004 WS…the Royals gave out 700. Office staff to grounds keepers to part time employees.
It’s all up to each team.

@CubbyPhil why would the Padres of all teams be interested in Heyward?

Since I couldn’t get any of these questions answered, yet I still want to know what other people think. I have a few questions for you guys..
#1. Who are the candidates for the Braves to hire as their new pitching coach??
#2. Kyle Wright, Max Fried, Luis Gohara, and Drew Waters for JT Realmuto..Who says no?? ATL or MIA..Reports I have read said Miami originally wanted Soroka and Riley, but ATL balked at that package..
#3. If not Folty, who could you see as the Braves Opening Day starter?? (Either inside or outside the organization)
#4. Considering both pitchers are healthy, who has the better 2019 season, Touki Toussaint or Mike Soroka??
I certainly welcome any and all insight, opinions, or ideas that you guys might care to offer..
