Ohtani not playing defense makes bad defenders play instead? I’m not sure if Upton/Calhoun playing the corners is really hurting the Angels all that much.
#Fantasygeekland
Yeah, but him DHing forces Pujols to 1B, either that or he’s an expensive 1B only bench bat. Ohtani at DH definitely makes bad defenders play instead, but it’s worth it to get his bat in the lineup.

I don’t like the KBO WC idea because the first team is normally not dramatically better than the second team, so the second team shouldn’t have to win two road games and the first team just has to win one home game. It is such an advantage for the top seed.

If there is a dramatic difference, it’s fair. If not, it’s a more compelling race than the current home field advantage fight. And that format would be really fun to watch.
EDIT: Hope that doesn’t come off as being confrontational. Was just responding quickly. I appreciate your thoughts, they are worth consideration for sure.

The KBO article said the best-of-two format reduces the chance the lower seeded team to around 20%. Doesn’t that seem absurdly low?
The A’s have 2 less wins than the Yankees, why should those 2 extra losses convert to an 80% chance of losing the Wild Card Round?
Either a best of three with a doubleheader (which would take up the same amount of time as the KBO WC suggestion), or keep it to a winner take all.
