Now that you guys got the stats in the other I was destroyed, do you think Yanks should be “bullpenning” the WC game, instead of going with a yet-to-be-predetermined starter?
Newcomb headlines a deal for Simmons with a soft contract, then presumably gets traded for Austin Hedges after having some MLB experience? I’m not the president of the Newcomb fan club, but man, he’s got to merit something more than that.
It’s do or die though. It might be a hard decision but in the end they should probably do whatever they think gives them the best chance to make it to the ALDS.
Unless the Diamondbacks want to make one more run at a title while they still have Goldy, yes it does have to be a full-scale teardown. Treading water next year won’t get them into the playoffs or improve the state of their farm system.
For all of us fans of teams that have been eliminated… could you do a top ten for college players and a top ten high school players? We are already looking towards the draft.
