What do you think about the cards shot this year as of Postseason
RedRooster
Why would Galvis sign for 1 year and less than $6m?

He cant hit at all. He has to compete w hech and Iglesias in FA. I bet he gets a 2 year deal From somebody right around 6 per. Would he surprised if the pads got him back that cheaply.

Redrooster- nobody seems to have solid backbone with answering that question. You’re absolutely right, he will get more than 6 million dollars next year, and if not he will settle for more years and less AAV I believe.
A contending team would love to have him as their “Baez” type defender late in ballgames to help the pitching staff. Essentially a poor mans Marwin. Galvis can and will play 2B and 3B just as well as he plays SS if asked in my opinion.
I could see Galvis getting a 2 year deal in 11.5-14 million dollar range. A team like the Mets for example make sense where they could put him at SS if Rosario struggles, can play some 2B/3B can switch hit, a team will be interested more than the likes of Iglesias and Hech just because of the versatility in Galvis’s game.

The exact way the are using Jose Reyes is how Galvis should be used. I think the excitement would go much better with him instead of wasting more time on Reyes.
