Padres outfielder Alex Dickerson has been diagnosed with a sprained ulnar collateral ligament in his left (throwing) elbow, and surgery is a possibility, writes MLB.com’s AJ Cassavell. It’s a tough break for the 27-year-old Dickerson, who missed all of the 2017 season following back surgery but showed some promise at the plate in his rookie campaign in 2016. That year, Dickerson slashed .257/.333/.455 with 10 homers in 285 plate appearances while walking at a 9.1 percent clip and fanning in just 15.4 percent of his plate appearances. Per Cassavell, the club is “hopeful” that Dickerson won’t require Tommy John surgery, but even if he doesn’t require surgery, he’s likely to miss at least the first month of the season.
More from the NL West…
- Andy McCullough of the L.A. Times takes an excellent look at the Dodgers’ failed pursuit of Shohei Ohtani. The team had Clayton Kershaw, Justin Turner and Chris Taylor fly into L.A. to help sell Ohtani on the Dodgers in their in-person meeting, but it proved to be a somewhat frustrating experience. Both Turner and Kershaw candidly stated that the process felt like a “waste of time,” indicating that Ohtani already seemed set on signing with an AL club where he could serve as a part-time DH. Kershaw didn’t express any ill feelings toward Ohtani himself, though he voiced some frustration toward CAA, Ohtani’s agency, over the matter. “I’m kind of mad at his agent for making us waste all that time and effort,” said Kershaw. “Fifteen teams should have been out of it, from the beginning.” Ohtani’s agent with CAA, Nez Balelo, issued a rebuttal to McCullough in which he calls any assertion that Ohtani would meet with a team for which he had no interest in playing “unfounded and an insult to [Ohtani’s] personal ethics.” Balelo also points out that Ohtani met with more NL clubs (four) than AL clubs (three). It’s a fascinating column that is filled with quotes from Kershaw, Turner, Balelo, Dave Roberts and Andrew Friedman.
- The D-backs have plenty of roster decisions to make by the end of Spring Training, but the bench presents a particularly enigmatic situation, writes Bob McManaman of the Arizona Republic. GM Mike Hazen and skipper Torey Lovullo need to determine whether they plan to carry seven or eight relievers, which will determine whether they utilize a four- or five-man bench. Even if it’s the latter, there are numerous battles for a spot. Lovullo calls a third catcher a “luxury” that he enjoyed in 2017, but Chris Herrmann or John Ryan Murphy (the two men who’d compete to fill that role) are vying with Yasmany Tomas and possibly Christian Walker for a potential fifth bench slot. The first four slots figure to go to Jeff Mathis, Chris Owings, Jarrod Dyson and Daniel Descalso, with Nick Ahmed and Ketel Marte likely holding the up-the-middle starting gigs. Notably, both Herrmann and Murphy are out of minor league options.

Ohtani wasnt the waste of time this offseason. Giancarlo Stanton was.
AndThisGameBelongsToMySanDiegoPadres
This is true. They spent months reporting that the Giants and Cardinals were in talks to acquire him and then it finally came out that the only teams he would accept a trade to were the Yankees, Cubs, Dodgers and Astros. Marlins should have only dealt with those four teams from the get-go.
FriendOfBoras
Your comments never make any sense Ryan
AndThisGameBelongsToMySanDiegoPadres
How doesn’t it make sense? Why did the Marlins spend even one second talking to the Cardinals or Giants about Stanton? He was never going to accept a trade to either of them.
soggycereal
they got to know both teams’ farm systems, as well as the weakness and strengths of the front offices and what they value, which led to ozuna deal.

They did not suddenly learn all of that because of Stanton talks.
If they did, they eete never doing their jobs to begin with.

The west coast Ryan is correct!!!!

Talking to the other clubs was the result of Jeter’s glaring inexperience. Had he taken the time to talk with Stanton that time wouldn’t have been wasted. Typically one will do his homework before setting off on an adventure like that. After all, it was widely reported that Stanton has no contact from his new boss.
takeyourbase
Why wouldn’t you talk to all clubs interested in your player? Wether the guy will waive or not it’s just good baseball business. That very thing happens all the time but it was blown up in Stanton’s case due to his high profile stature
AndThisGameBelongsToMySanDiegoPadres
Umm no, you absolutely don’t talk to teams about trading for a player if you already know he won’t accept a trade there (and Jeter and Co. had no reason to not know that Stanton wouldn’t accept a trade to SF or STL). And you especially don’t spend MONTHS doing it.

Ry.the.Stunner
Stanton has a full no-trade clause, as evidenced when he was traded to the Yankees. What makes you think that’s going to change now that he’s with the team he wants to be with?
InPolesWeTrust
He wants to play in LA.
brucenewton
The Dodgers weren’t interested in Stanton this offseason. It won’t be any different next year. He’s a DH as early as this year with 10 years left on his deal. He’s the Yankees long term problem.
mack22 2
Not true, the Dodgers wanted him, but needed to reduce payroll to get under the capp
camdenyards46
Why would the dodgers want him next year when they could have him a year younger this year
driftcat28 2
Because they didn’t have the money for him. Now they do. Not saying the Yanks will deal Stanton to make room for Harper, but crazier things have happened
brucenewton
Dodgers could have had him for scraps and declined but next year they’ll trade real players for him? Ok.
Kershiser
Or, I don’t know… the Dodgers could just sign Harper? Wouldn’t that make a lot more sense than giving up talent to get an older player who isn’t as good and still every bit as expensive?
(I’m not saying Stanton isn’t good, just that Harper is the better of the two, on offense and defense)
I love how Yankees fans really believe deep down to their very core that the rest of the league only exists to serve their interests…
Rocket32
You are probably trolling but Stanton isn’t going anywhere. He has a full NTC and the Yankees are the team he really wanted to be traded too. Why would he accept a trade elsewhere after just 1 season when he wanted to be a Yankee? Your comment makes no sense. Don’t be surprised if they pass on Harper. Harper would be a luxury, he’s not needed. If Andujar is for real same with Machado. What they will need to spend big on is starting pitching. OF is stacked. Didi locked in at SS and Andujar at 3B.
Kenleyfornia74
If the Yankees want to pursue Harper they probably have to trade Stanton. The only team he would accept a deal to is the Dodgers but i doubt this is a 1 year thing for the Yankees

Thought it made more sense to go to the AL for Ohtani. Seemed like a waste of time and it sounds like a waste of time.

Look, everyone kind of knew who would be favorites going into the Ohtani market. Buyers usually have some preconceived notions going in, its up to the salesman to change his mind. Doesn’t always happen and when it doesn’t you move and dont cry about it. Sometimes you have to waste time to strike gold
Ohtani gave everyone a chance to change his mind. They couldn’t do it.
Its lucky these players were born with a natural talent to make money playing a kids game as some of them seem like they woukd be challenged in the real world. Obviously they worked hard to get where they are but effort without natural gifts only takes you so far.
jekporkins
I gotta disagree – I read and read about this guy and I had zero idea where he was going. At the onset it was Yankees for sure, then Cubs, then Seattle, then the Giants or Padres. I personally didn’t think the Angels were the #1 until it happened. It was a very interesting race. to the finish from my end.
bravesfan88
I pretty much agree, although, I did believe three out of the top 5 primary suitors were in the AL..I thought he would wind up in NY wearing pinstripes though..
Second, I thought Seattle would land him, and third, I thought he could wind up with one of the Rangers, Dodgers, or Cubs…
I will say, I never really gave the Angels that much of a thought or a shot to land Ohtani..I figured he would go to a bigger market, and more of a well-known and nationally recognized franchise than the Angels…
So, in that sense, I was pretty suprised..I believe most people figured the AL would be his best fit though, since he insisted on pitching and hitting…Having the DH, again helps the AL land yet another talented slugger..
It must be nice, at times, knowing you can just sign or draft a player, and not have to worry about what position they’ll play..It definitely allows AL teams the opportunity to take more risks on big-time hitters who struggle defensively…That’s a whole other story and gripe in itself though…lol
Lyman Bostock
I might have to disagree that the angels don’t play in a big market and aren’t a nationally recognized team. They do have the best player in baseball being advertised all over the world in their uniform. They do have a share of the Los Angeles market.
fox471 Dave
Probably should wait a bit on the “slugger” designation. He has had one hit in spring training so far. Know there is an adjustment period but he has one hit in spring training so far.

Mookie Betts has zero. Should we consider him a flash in the pan now?

Wonderful comparison. Mookie has never proven himself against major league pitching…
I don’t, and never did, see this pitching/hitting experiment lasting more than a year. Unless he injured himself pitching, the bat will be an afterthought relatively soon.

Russel Wilson played in a game, which should be a pretty big indicator of how seriously Spring Training is taken

bravesfan88
So, basically, TWO of the following players will not make Arizon’s opening Day roster: Yasmany Tomas, Chris Hermann, and John Ryan Murphy…
If the D-Backs decide to go with a 4 man bench, then most likely, all THREE will not make the squad..
I wonder if there would be any takers for Tomas??
Tomas, who is still only 27, and has really only spent about 2 years in the majors, he did recently hit 31 HR’s, with a respectable average and decent approach at the plate, not too long ago…
The big dilemma with Tomas though, is his 3 years and approx 45 mil. left on his contract…
If the D-backs took on Markakis’ 2018 contract, and ate a portion of the money remaining for Tomas, I wouldn’t mind at all if the Braves took a gamble on him.
He could slide into LF, and could be the power bat the Braves desperately need this season and moving forward..
The following late 2018, opening day 2019 line-up would look pretty good..
Albies – 2B
Acuña Jr. – RF
Freeman – 1B
Tomas – LF
Riley – 3B
Inciarte – CF
Flowers – C
Swanson – SS
I’d gladly take a .270-.275, .320-.330 OBP, and 27-33 HR’s from Tomas in the 4 hole..And who knows, with only 2 years of experience, with a change of scenery, and with more motivation, he could still get better..
Not to mention, anytime Freeman has had some sort of power protection behind him in the line-up, he has done extremely well!!
I mean, if Matt Kemp can protect Freeman well, then surely Tomas could also provide Freeman with some protection as well…
Plus, with Inciarte and Acuña Jr. roaming CF and RF, then combined, they could certainly help and make up a good bit for Tomas’ limited range..
Could prove to be a fairly low risk, solid reward move for the Braves…
And for those who might say, no we can’t take on anymore salary, because we may not be able to get Harper or Machado, be realistic please…Neither player is ever coming to Atlanta!! lol
Michael Chaney
I’m not a Diamondbacks fan but I’m gonna stop you at saying Tomas has a good approach at the plate. His plate discipline is pretty much nonexistent, and it’s more likely that he’s a .255/.305 player with 20-25 homers (in an increasingly power-happy game, no less) than anything more.
You’re right about Acuna and (especially) Inciarte making the other 2/3 of the outfield solid defensively, but Tomas is such a bad defender that even if he was put with two other good defenders, his lack of defensive value puts an insane amount of pressure on his bat and he’s not nearly good enough of a hitter to overcome that.
You’re also right that Harper and Machado aren’t going to the Braves, but wouldn’t you rather have a little financial flexibility for another move instead of limiting yourself? There are probably about a dozen hitters that are still unsigned and could provide comparable offense to Tomas for probably a fifth of the yearly cost.
barkinghumans77
As a Cardinals fan, I can say that if their outfield situation had some openings, I wouldn’t mind taking a flyer on Tomas. Only real knock I can see is the salary. Adding in some prospects or salary could easily offset that. Somebody needs to give him a chance.
brucewayne
No! No! AND No! The Cards have a decent outfield right now
jbigz12
What dollar amount makes sense to take a chance on Tomas? 10 million? Anymore than that is too much for sure. He’s a horrible defender who looks lazy out there and he has no OBP skills what so ever. He’s literally a one tool player. 3 years 10 million? I don’t see how you justify anymore.
jbigz12
You projected Tomas as if he will get better. He’s never topped a 315 OPS and his career average is below 310. He’s a double play machine as well. This might be the case of you reading an offensive stat line rather than watching the guy play. I’ve personally only seen about 8-9 games of him playing but I didn’t see anything that would suggest he’s any better than the numbers show.
stymeedone
@bravesfan
Its pretty unreasonable to think that a player that is battling for the last spot on the bench in AZ could step right in and bat cleanup on any other major league team.
ryeandi
Tomas is 100% a DH and that’s it. As a die-hard D-backs fan I can honestly tell you Tomas has no place in any outfield. His defense is not bad, it’s entirely unplayable. He does have a legit bat and an AL team willing to let the D-backs pay a good chunk of his salary could end up with a bargain DH without having to give up too much in the way of prospects. His contract was a terrible decision made by the old, inept leadership and has no place on the current team.

Ohtani should’ve chosen a team like San Diego or Texas. I don’t think the Angels are going to be patient enough with him as a hitter if (when) he struggles as a hitter early since they’re a playoffs or bust team.
Kwflanne
Too bad for Dickerson, although, he probably wouldn’t have made the major league roster anyways. The outfield in San Diego is crowded as it is. Pirela, renfroe, Margot, Myers, jankowski, Cordero, and Dickerson…. jankowski and Dickerson are probably the least promising of the group. Really hope the Padres find a way to get Cordero some at bats. Struggled in a small sample last year, but dominated in AAA and Dominican league this offseason. Not sure I want him in a platoon with renfroe though, as both renfroe and Cordero need consistent at bats right now to continue their progression…. should be interesting to see what management decides
bravesfan88
The NL West should be a very competitive division this year..Now, I fully expect the Dodgers to run away with the division crown, since they are just head and shoulders better and more complete than almost every NL Team period, BUT don’t count out the Rockies, D-Backs, or the Giants competing for a Wild Card spot…The Rockies have finally assembled a solid pitching staff, the Diamondbacks should be competitive again, and it looks like the Giants went all in, albeit still getting older, and they’re attempting to make another run or two towards a playoff spot..
Also, the Padres are slowly but surely securing some quality talent around the diamond..Now, their pitching staff still needs a TON of work, but they are definitely improving. They should no longer be considered an automatic win for opposing teams..Their progress will be fun to watch this year, but especially in 2019 and in 2020. By then, their rebuild should be complete, or nearing its completion, and they should have a very solid core of young talent and veteran pieces to field a very competitive team.
bravesfan88
I think the most competitive division though will be the NL Central…I’m a Braves fan, but unlike most Braves’ fans, I’m realistic lol..The Nationals are going to win that division by at least 10-15 games, and they should pretty easily, barring some miracle by the Mets, Phillies, or the Braves…lol
However, the NL Central should be a real race until the end. Most people believe the Cubs will walk away as the division winner, but the Brewers and Cardinals could have quite a bit to say about that….Both teams have spent their off-seasons trying to get better, and I believe both teams have gotten a good bit better…especially Milwaukee..
St.Louis has an extremely talented group of position players, with talented backups everywhere…Their man concern will be their bullpen, and the health of their starting rotation…If Wainwright, Wacha, Weaver, and Reyes, if they can stay healthy, then the Cardinals can go toe to toe with anyone…They’ll have Yadi, Carpenter, DeJong, Ozuna, Wong, Gyorko, Martinez, Pham, and Fowler in their line-up to score plenty of runs, and they all should combine to be a better team defensively this year…Their starting pitchers just HAVE TO stay healthy; otherwise, their team could be a MAJOR disappointment..But by adding Ozuna, I think they got a HUGE STEAL from the Marlins, and he should prove to be a real force in their line-up!!
Also, I love what the Brewers have been able to accomplish this off-season..However, they have a serious LOGJAM in their outfield of talent..I’m sure they’d love to be back in the AL to get all five of Braun, Yelich, Cain, Santana, and Thames in the same line-up, day in and day out…They don’t have the proven players that the Cardinals and Cubs habe, but they have a lot of quality up and coming talent…The outcome of their season, much like the Cardinals, will come down to the success of their pitching staff..I think the Brewers can match most teams offensively and defensively, but can they out pitch their opponents??
Only time will tell, but the NL Central is shaping up to be a real dog fight this upcoming season…
Unlike the NL East, with the Nationals, and the NL West, with the Dodgers, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see someone besides the division favorite Cubs taking home the division title…
Definitely excited for this upcoming season, even though it’ll mainly just be a feeling out season for my beloved Braves…lol Heck, even still, should see some extremely talented youngsters like Newk, Minter, Gohara, Acuña Jr., Fried, Sims, and eventually Soroka, Riley, and possibly even Allard…
Good luck to all baseball teams and their fans!! Here is to hoping for an injury free spring training, so we can all see our team’s best possible rosters…
Kwflanne
Agree the NL west will be competitive again this year, with the teams most likely beating up on eachother all year. Only disagreement would be in regards to the giants. I’m not sure an aging mccutchen and longoria (both coming off down years in terms of their usual production) are going to make a very big impact. Also, behind Madison, I’m not too sold on their rotation of Cueto and samardjzia (not even going to bother looking up the spelling for that one). Both pitchers have been disappointing thus far in San Fran. Obviously I’m a Padres fan, and your remarks regarding the Padres were pretty spot on. Although, the rotation should be better than last year (especially if they get some prospects called up mid-season)… but you’re correct, as it stands, the rotation needs help. I certainly don’t think the Padres are ready to jump the diamondbacks or Rockies yet, with the dodgers being an obvious first place. However, I feel like some people are just forgetting the Padres finished ahead of the giants last year. I guess I just dont think the giants have done enough to make me think they will automatically pass up the Padres now this season. I guess time will tell. Hard to disagree with anything you said though.
jbigz12
Bumgarner, Cueto and Samardzjia are 5x better than any SP SD rolls out there this season. Mccutchen is replacing one of the worst OFers in the league and longo is a huge upgrade at 3rd. Bum missed most of last year too. Melancon looks like a strong rebound candidate as well. Giants should be firmly ahead of the padres. They aren’t there yet.
AndThisGameBelongsToMySanDiegoPadres
How are Jeff Samardzija and his 4.42 ERA (4.10 for his career) 5x better than every SP the Padres will use this year?
jbigz12
We typically don’t take things like that literally. The rotation is trash. There’s no arguing that. Shark threw 200 innings last year as well. I can guarantee you no padres pitcher will do that. Put samardzjia on the padres and he’s your #1 easily. You don’t have to be combative to everything that doesn’t praise SD.
AndThisGameBelongsToMySanDiegoPadres
Clayton Richard also pitched 200 mediocre innings last season. I wasn’t being combative, I was dismissing his claim.

Why is everyone writing a blog as a reply to a blog. If you want to blog just find a means to. But don’t reply to a blog with one of your own.
jbigz12
It’s all good. Richard was a lot closer than I thought. Shark’s peripherals look a whole lot better though. Still no arguing he’d be SD’s ace. They aren’t competing this year though it shouldn’t come as a surprise. This was all just a response to the guy who said the padres would finish ahead of the Giants. They aren’t there yet assuming good health for the Giants.
AndThisGameBelongsToMySanDiegoPadres
Some pitchers succeed based on an ability to outperform their peripherals. Some are the opposite, like Samardzija. Other than 2014 he has always underperformed his peripherals. If it was just once you might have a case but when it’s almost every year it should tell you something.
jbigz12
3.8 FIP 4.1 career ERA. Even by career standards a 4.47 and a 3.61 FIP is off. I don’t think shark is much more than a high 3 ERA guy. But if he can do that while throwing 200 innings that’s more than you can expect out of any SDP pitcher. Not arguing shark is a stud but he is far better than anything the pads have right now. Maybe perdomo or lamet take a jump up this year but that’s a stretch at this point. Shark got his K numbers back up and his control looked good. He does that again and I’m sure you’ll have an ERA much closer to 3.6.
AndThisGameBelongsToMySanDiegoPadres
“He does that again and I’m sure you’ll have an ERA much closer to 3.6.”
People have been saying that for years. I’ll believe it when I see it. And as for being better than any Padres’ starter, that’s not exactly a lofty bar. Especially for a guy who is owed 3/59m.
jbigz12
I was never arguing samardzjia being an ace. Maybe SD’s ace but that isn’t saying anything. Only was saying that he is much better than what the padres have out there. Having actual major leaguers playing defense behind him this year can only help. We’ve beaten this dead horse enough already though.
AndThisGameBelongsToMySanDiegoPadres
And I am saying that he is not cause for optimism with the Giants
stymeedone
I seldom agree with WCR, but when it comes to Shark, he offers innings but little else. His peripherals always make him look like he should do better. He just doesnt have the knack for pitching better than his opponent. At the end of the year, he will be an innings eater with a losing record. Again. As always.
jbigz12
We got way off topic. He’s still better than any of the padres starting pitchers. Plain and simple. I don’t care if he’s overpaid. He definitely is overpaid, but Thats irrelevant. Is he better than Clayton Richard, Luis perdomo, dinelson lamet, and Colin Rea/ Bryan Mitchell/Matt strahm? Yeah he is.
brucewayne
If you look at Sharks overall numbers, he’s a better pitcher than he’s given credit for!
Knowthemarket
If you get classic Longoria then yes it’s an improvement but I think you exaggerated. In fact it’s a huge question mark that you are going to get classic Longoria. The Giants are one of the teams that should have gone into a rebuild.
AndThisGameBelongsToMySanDiegoPadres
Get that “losing record” out of here stymeedone! W/L record is NOT a real stat! His ERA tells us all we need to know about him.
AndThisGameBelongsToMySanDiegoPadres
@brucewayne people say that every year. When a guy constantly overperforms (or underperforms) his peripherals I wouldn’t question it. It wasn’t just a one year thing for Samardzija.
AndThisGameBelongsToMySanDiegoPadres
Of the guys you mentioned, I think Lamet and Mitchell might have lower ERA’s than Samardzija this year, but probably in fewer innings. I’m still not wrong to say he won’t be “5x better” than every pitcher the Padres will use this year.
davidcoonce74
ERA is, frankly, a pretty lousy stat to use to evaluate a pitcher too; not as bad as W-L record, but pretty meaningless. FIP is slightly better; not perfect. Shark doesn’t walk anyone and has a great K rate, and he’s been cursed much of his career with very bad defenses – SFs defense last season outside of Panik and Crawford, was brutal – and theoretically he will have some fluky BABIP year in front of a decent defense and be more successful. He may throw too many strikes, but that’s a hard thing to teach a pitcher away from. He is what he is – a durable #3/4 starter. He is better than any current Padres starter but that’s a low bar to clear.
AndThisGameBelongsToMySanDiegoPadres
People act like he’s a #1/2 and he’s being paid like one
Oh and I think you’ll agree with me that W/L record is a terrible way to evaluate pitchers and if you cite them on here then everything you have ever said and ever will say is meaningless.

davidcoonce74
Well, Trout has been, through 7 seasons, the best player in baseball history. That’s a dynasty of sorts; he’s never really had a great player to pair with, and has been dragged down by playing for a team that seems to be unable to keep pitchers healthy and last year gave 636 PAs to the worst player in baseball because they owe him a lot of money. Trout is a force of nature but no player wins a baseball game by himself; this isn’t the NBA.

Or the story where Ohtani wanted to play with Darvish ! There were so many stories floating around!

I kinda see what kershaws saying, but either way, isn’t it better to take a chance then to wonder what if? Seems like a worthwhile try to me
Ninth 3 Year Plan
I think kershaw & turner for that matter are saying it wasn’t worth it……there was no “what if”
stymeedone
I think what Kershaw is saying is he interrupted his offseason plans.
justin-turner overdrive
Or his dinner date or literally anything – his point is Ohtani was 100% not signing in the NL.

All three of them made a special effort to attend. Dave Roberts was more diplomatic about how the meeting went down, but the players all came away from it with the impression that Ohtani never seriously entertained signing with any NL team. Kershaw’s annoyance with the agent is kind of misplaced, though. The agent works for the player, so whatever he did in this process to irritate them was at the player’s direction.

Most people really dislike having their time wasted. It’s not only an imposition but the implication is their time is more valuable than yours.

I just can’t see having 3 catchers being a luxury. Especially when none of them can hit a lick. Have to think there’s no way they keep that many this time around.

From an inside sorce word has it SD going to sign JA

Ohtani was a waste of time, when you think of the years that teams like the Dodgers and Rangers wasted on him in scouting. In the the end, he wanted LA–for a movie career or something?–only the AL so he could DH on his non-pitching days. I’m glad Kershaw sat his butt down when he batted against him. Phenom? Pfft. Here’s a curve ball for you, rookie.

People should never have tj surgery for a sprained ligament. If people just rest and stretch and eat properly they will recover. The body is supposed to heal itself if taken proper care of but thats why injuries happen to begin with so its too much to expect from some people and teams want value. They dont want a long rehab or to delay a sirgery even longer. Tj is not necessary. Try yoga and eat things that rebuild ligaments. Just like a lerson with a tooth problem can go let a dentist deatroy their mouths or chew on some egg shells which are 95 percent calcium carbonate crystals. People think doctors know best. They dont. They can help people but people should learn that they can heal themselves. And juat cause most tj surgeries are successful doesnt mean yours will be. And you have to learn the same sorts of atretching and eating habits post surgery that could have healed your arm with no surgery at all so you may as well try. Stetching in a relaxed manner with breath control will fix arm problems if done properly. Most people stretch incorrectly. You just have to isolate the muscle.

I am so very glad you are not a medical professional. Or at least, I really hope you aren’t.

Stupid comment Rishi. Most TJ surgeries start as a sprained ligament, then a partial tear, then full tear (TJ).

Typical socal attitude. “They didn’t pick me, it couldn’t of been my fault so it must be some secret reason.” How about the Dodgers organization is trash? It’s always been trash and it will always be trash. Who wants to pitch with small game Kershaw? Dodgers can’t handle that players would rather play for the angels.
NGC
I didn’t realize Kershaw was such a crybaby. Shutup and play ball like you have been.

Can’t wait to see Ohtani get lit up this year as a starter. He’ll be moved to the bullpen by next year.
