When will this start
For real. People need to stop pushing Profar to the Padres. There is no reason for the Padres to trade actual prospects for a guy who is a free agent after 2019.
If the Padres want Profar here is what they should do:
1. Wait two years (which they won’t contend with or without Profar)
2. Sign Profar in free agency
3. Give the Rangers (or whoever they end up trading him to) absolutely nothing
