I missed Monday’s chat but I was surprised to read that the “Mariners, Rox, D-backs could all use an upgrade behind the plate.”
Seattle’s Mike Zunino, a defense-first catcher, topped all MLB hitters with 31 RBI in June on the strength of a gaudy .304/.371/.722/1.092 slash line in 89 plate appearances. With a wRC+ of 185, the 26-year-old Zunino posted 1.3 fWAR in June alone.
This would be an odd time for the patient Mariners to make a change.

I’m a little confused as to why the Indians should trade Naquin. Maybe for a controllable starter, but I doubt other teams value him as much as Cleveland.
Since Chisenhall and Brantley are gone after 2018, why not hold onto Naquin and let him develop in the minors a little longer. Maybe he can improve a bit and get a starting job in 2019
