Padres Trade – Brad Hand, Yangervis Solarte, and Anderson Espinoza to Yankees for Gleyber Torres & Jacoby Ellsbury
Seems exceptionally one sided for the padres
Yeah dumping Ellsbury has some value but not that much.
No reason on earth why the Padres would want Ellsbury.
Why would they give up their best pitching prospect for a tj dude
and ellsbury is not useful for the padres. They would prolly rather have ny keep him
Because that tj dude is an excellent infield prospect and had tj on his non-throwing arm… Pretty simple.
And the Padres obviously don’t want/need Ellsbury. The only “reason on earth” why they would want him is to take that contract off the Yankees hands so they can get a better prospect in return from the Yankees. Pretty simple…
