Jason does a fine job with the chats, but he said here “I wouldn’t judge a front office on how they do their job.”
Puzzling. How would one judge them, then?
biff_pocoroba
I think he was saying that HE wouldn’t be qualified to judge them, not that they should not be judged on the job they do.
astros_fan_84
I think that’s a political non-answer.

“Also not sure they’d trade Wong straight up for Dozier so the deal would have to be balanced out with more players involved.”
Kind of blindsided by this, maybe I misunderstood the context? Dozier is a trade value heavyweight and Wong’s contract looks kind of market rate. Am I wrong?
lesterdnightfly
Yes, that struck me as odd too. Wong is not equal to Dozier straight up. Not even close.
Wong’s value is roughly that of Gordon Beckham’s in Year Three of their respective careers — hyped but unproductive. And he costs more than Beckham did.
Dozier’s value is Lexus; Wong’s value is Chevy.
