Get in the Hawper
I’m sure many will disagree but Bautista’s market seems limited bc he is disliked by so many. That, his age and his bogus expectations.
jdgoat
Nothing to disagree about. He had a good year and although it wasn’t his normal season it was still good. It seems like the teams that are obvious fits (Baltimore,Texas) are turned off by obvious reasons. If only they gave him a chance though…
pukelit
No way Zach Eflin and Hector Neris would get Charlie Blackmon
Phillies2017
I disagree. Neris could be a closer this year and Eflin is a solid back end starter.
Philliesfan4life
the rockies would want more in return for blackmon
LADreamin
You’re trading could be’s for a sure thing, an above average center fielder under control. 0% chance those two bring back Charlie Blackmon.
BillGiles
why would the Phillies want Blackmon? He has two years of control and they have Herrera in CF.
Brixton
Because why shouldnt the Phillies want two outfielders who are half decent?
Its a moot point, as any Blackmon deal would likely start with either VV or one of them Phillies top 3 prospects, being Moniak, Crawford or Alfaro, which wouldnt happen
gomerhodge71
Regarding Bautista, Encarnacion and Trumbo, consider that times have changed. I don’t think many (if any) teams would have even hesitated giving up a draft pick to get a 30-40 homer guy twenty years ago. Nowadays, with more teams building through the draft, those picks are more coveted than ever.
Phillies2017
The holland article is awful. The writer has no understanding of rebuilding.
st3
Agreed
ChiSoxCity
Agreed. First the author talks about how bad Holland is. Then he goes on to say the Sox should not try to win in a rebuilding year. Made no sense whatsoever. It’s obvious why the Sox signed Holland; to eat innings. Anything else is icing on the cake.

Are there any baseball blogs with halfway decent grammar and spelling? Does anybody proofread their blog posts even once before posting them?
