The Brewers will not trade Braun without getting premium prospects in return. Or a return that matches his high value. His production warrants it; he’s an elite hitter.
The Brewers have zero interest in a salary dump or just moving his contract because people think they are simply getting rid of any veteran to fit the “rebuild” narritive. A trade has to make sense and the Brewers have been more than willing to include money in a trade to help get a better retun.
Braun has been with the Brewers his whole career and is well worth his contract. There is no real urgency to move him. If noone makes a really good offer, Braun can be a solid veteran contributor on the next contending Brewer team, which is closer than people think.

At his age and the amount of years and dollars left on his contract it’s hard to see any team trading top prospects for Braun especially with his injury history and past steroid use. Also even if the Brewers are 2-3 years away from being a solid team that still puts them inside the window for the Cubs winning seasons so they may be the second best team in that division at best. Better to sell high after Braun having a nice rebound season than to wait and see his value diminish. I can see some decent return like some major league ready players, some low level lotto ticket players, and maybe a mid top 100 prospect but to ask for more than that The brew crew would need to eat some cash and the more they eat the better the return.
