Is it me or are these chats getting more and more condescending with less and less description and support to answers?
Jeff Todd
Can you let me know what it is you view as condescending? Certainly not my intent. There’s only so much detail you can give on the fly, but I always aim to suggest my reasoning where possible.

Ignore him Jeff. Dont let the trolls justify their comments with a response. I agree with everything you said on-point with some interesting perspectives, although I strongly disagree with your assessment to the comment asking you why the Yanks don’t consider DFA’ing Headley and Beltran for Refsnyder/Judge for ticket sales.
Aaron judge is the Yankee’s best prospect. (Some say Sanchez, but its debatable) He’s a 6’7 Monster who unlike most guys has defense as one of his strongest characteristics in addition to raw power. With a ceiling of Giancarlo Stanton and a floor of Chris Charter (ALL HR/Approach) we wont know for sure what he’ll turn into, but he would bring more excitement to the stadium then Headley/Beltran combined.
Take it from a guy who’s been following him since being drafted #32 overall from Fresno State in the 2013 MLB draft.
The Yanks wont and shouldn’t DFA both Headley (owed $26M the next two seasons) Beltran ($15M this season) but semi-educated Yankee fans are counting down the days to Beltran’s trade/FA/Retirement/Departure/pick from declining QO (if he’s good enough to get one)/ so Judge can immediately step in for RF.
Refsnyder’s glove is questionable he shows great potential with his bat although his offense is untested full-time at the Major league level. He won’t get the fans more excited then the corpse that is Beltran/Mendoza line Headley but he’s no chump. You’ll be seeing him in the future either for a trade for a “controllable SP” they so much desire or call up to fill for Castro should he get injured.

I don’t mind Jeff and Steve being slightly “curt” (personally, I don’t feel their responses are condescending whatsoever) because it allows them to answer more questions during the chat. They are both very knowledgable and I think it’s impressive they can back up their analysis in such a concise manner (many responses contain references to advanced statistics while still answering in 1 or 2 mins). Both have a great sense of humor as well and it’s really obvious they love their jobs. In general “condescending” is such a subjective term too, and there really hasn’t been a change in tone recently relative to older chats, either, always been the same kind of style/voice in their answers.

Thanks! Intent is to be more casual and to get through as many questions as we can, for sure.
I’m always open to hear if people are getting negative vibes from something that wasn’t intended that way, but glad to hear that many of you are picking up what we’re putting down.

Yes, these chats are great. I even enjoy the stupid Q’s because it allows Steve

Allows Steve what? To be hilarious? Benefit by comparison? ha.
