“Baseball Hot Corner sized up the Blue Jays’ upcoming decisions.”
Not really. The article basically lists the Jays players that will be FA next year with about 2-3 comments that could be considered a sizing up. There are about a dozen aspects of the team going forward that it didn’t, but could have easily, touched on. Nowhere near a legitimate size up.

Everyone outside of Cincinnati keeps pandering for the Reds to trade Votto, Bruce, and Phillips. As if it’s that easy.
– They’ve already attempted to trade Phillips (twice), and he’s used his 10/5 rights to veto both trades.
– They’ve unsuccessfully tried to trade Bruce at least twice (Mets in 2015 and TOR in 2016) already
– Votto’s contract (though I’m generally ok with) would be hard to trade. Only a few teams would actually be able to take on that kind of money and even less willing
– Votto has FULL no trade rights and has expressed repeatedly a desire to stay in CIN, implying he would invoke those rights.
So if any of these writers/commentators/fans who keep saying the Reds should just trade these three have some magic negotiating skills, please, get GM Dick Williams on the phone
