I dont think re=signing Joey bats would backfire on the jays. Sure hes aging, but he still hit 40 homeruns last year and walks at a very high rate. I think he led the AL in walks? And sometimes guys age very well, look what Arod did last year at what? 40? I think a 3 year deal with an option would be a good move for the jays.

‘Dansby Swanson could be this year’s Carlos Correa.’
This is the most insane thing I’ve heard in a while. Dansby doesn’t even have 100 PA in the low minors and ATL wont even get a look at him until the middle of June when he is officially traded. No way he is up any earlier then the end of July. Giving him 2 months of MLB production at best in 2016. He should have wrote that article next year.

He’s been officially traded. They changed that rule because of Trea Turner last year. I agree with your comment, don’t see Swanson even in the majors this year (maybe in September), because there’s no real reason for Atlanta to push him through the system, but he’ll be with Atlanta all year
