The Yankees have nowhere to put Jason Heyward. The Giants will steal Zack Greinke away from the Dodgers. The Cardinals would never sign a player like Chris Davis. The Rangers are going to add a big bat. Do you have strong opinions like these on MLB’s top free agents? Then enter into the MLBTR Free Agent Prediction contest and prove your genius!
The closes tonight at 11:59pm central time. The only requirement is a Facebook account. The winners will receive cash prizes and, more importantly, bragging rights over MLBTR’s writing team and other contest participants. Your picks can be saved and edited up until the deadline. Try it today!

It helps that it was revealed who won the bidding for Park. Granted it’s not guaranteed to happen but it narrows it down dramatically.

Each year there are usually a few freebies that pop up in the week the contest is open.

Question about facebook: I have 10+ year old account (thefacebook days) that I use like once a year to send someone a message privately or directly or whatever. If I were to use it for this contest would my entry be publicized on my page or wall or timeline or what have you? I’d like to participate but that would be just too random to deal with.
Tim Dierkes
Yes, it does post one message to your timeline.

Another question about the facebook account requirement…. Why? We don’t need facebook to register on this site and leave comments. Why is it a requirement for this contest? Is it a technical limitation of the contest format?
rct
I’d imagine it has something to do with the prizes.
Tim Dierkes
Partly technical in that we haven’t built it to accept other logins. But also, I like having real names on our public leaderboard, and this gets us closest to that in a simple way.

Arggh, it won’t work on my iPad, and too lazy to get my laptop!

It’s mentioned up above that you can keep editing until the deadline (today), so don’t forget to update your picks on Colby Rasmus and (most likely) Marco Estrada!

And Wieters now as well. Finally some players are realizing that making $16MM on a one-year deal is a good deal if you are not named Greinke, Price or (Justin) Upton.

Zobrist and Desmond to the Mets

Will we be able to look at other people’s picks? That was one of the best parts in previous years
