The Reds are prepared to “undergo an overhaul” to their front office, Yahoo Sports’ Jeff Passan reports (Twitter link). Several changes are coming to the organization, the first of which is vice president and assistant GM Bob Miller leaving the team.
Miller’s departure seems to be an amicable one, as FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal tweets that Miller is leaving to start his own business. Miller, who has been working in baseball for over 30 years, originally joined the Reds in 2006 as the director of baseball administration and was promoted to VP and assistant GM later in the year.
Whatever changes are coming to Cincinnati’s front office, they won’t involve the man in charge, Walt Jocketty. The general manager just signed a two-year extension to continue running the club through the 2016 season.

IMO the Reds just more underperformed. Can’t expect Votto/Bruce to be that bad/that injured. And Latos and Bailey both missing so much time.

The Reds will “rattle some cages”, huff and puff under the pretense of making changes. Most will be insignificant and not hold any of the players accountable for their dismal performances. A mere shuffling of papers. No heads (of importance) will roll….they never have as long as BCast is in power.

I can see them firing Steve Smith. He was a horrible 3rd base coach
oh Hal
Who should they hold accountable and i’d love to know how? They had a bunch of injuries like the gray alien above stated, but some young guys like Mesoraco and a couple future bench players did really well. I guess the bullpen wasn’t great, but i’d guess that was from them being ground down.

I blame the coaching staff more than the front office for this ugly season, and would really like to see that worked on more than the front office. Especially considering we already know that Walt is going to return.
kenny post
i thought brook jacoby was the issue of us not producing. Now its front office? How about fix our lineup of these weak hitters. Pitching is on point but they cant carry this team.
