The Yankees have designated pitcher Chris Leroux for assignment, Chad Jennings of LoHud.com tweets. The move clears space on the Yankees’ active roster for Alfredo Aceves.
The Yankees promoted Leroux from Triple-A Scranton / Wilkes-Barre earlier this week, and he allowed five earned runs in the 14th inning of a 10-5 loss against the Rays yesterday. The Yankees’ bullpen threw 9 2/3 innings in that loss, so they could use a fresh arm in the bullpen. Aceves had pitched well in Triple-A, striking out 14 batters and walking five in 13 2/3 innings there.
Leroux, 30, had previously pitched in the big leagues with the Pirates in 2013, having pitched parts of four seasons in Pittsburgh. He has also pitched for the Marlins, and with the Yakult Swallows in Japan.

Blue Jays should pick him up. Can’t be any worse than Santos.

Yanks in a lull right now. All teams go through this. Also facing a little adversity right now but I think we will be alright. Lots of injuries to pitching staff and team not hitting well right now. That will change. All we need is just a boost from some of the younger pitchers. Hopefully it will happen.

OOOOO
I called it last night. Just surprised he stuck around for the morning. That was a brutal game to watch. The bullpen was absolutely phenomenal until they got to him. 6 guys with an era under 2.00, Bad way to end 6 hour game when you simply just run out of players.

The Yankees need to add veteran pitching to the rotation or before you know it they will be in third place. Everybody in the east is good. The Yankees are on top for now and need to stay there. I’m sure the Yankees will make a couple of moves on the cheap.
Remember Nova won’t be back next yr, CC isn’t dominating anymore, Kuroda is struggling with command, and Pineda with his suspension and injury.
Tanana is our ace rite now.
