The Royals have claimed Adam Moore on waivers, a source tells Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com (via Twitter). The catcher was designated for assignment by the Mariners last week in order to make room for pitcher Josh Kinney on the 40-man roster.
Moore, 28, recently underwent his second surgery in two years to repair a medial meniscus tear in his right knee. The catcher has a slashline of of .209/.247/.372 in 24 games for Triple-A Tacoma this season and did not appear in any games for the M's. Yesterday, agent Mike McCann insisted to Crasnick that his client is healthy.

A depth move for Triple A, Looking at his career minor league stats, he’s hit well (till this year)…just hasn’t translated to the majors.
The_Unnatural
That’s because he’s made of glass and gets injured every 2 weeks.

I hope somehow he becomes good with KC. I liked him even though he always kept getting hurt. M’s have no need for him now anyway with Zunino on the way! I wish him well.

Why? They just cut Humberto Quintero
ThisGuyRocks
Minors depth. Quintero wouldn’t have accepted going to AAA.
D.j. Wilson
How come?

I hope he can somehow succeed with KC. He’s had a tough few years, to say the least.
