The Rangers and Twins are discussing a possible trade involving right-handed reliever Jared Burton, Yahoo's Tim Brown reports (on Twitter). The Rangers are known to be considering additions to their bullpen.
Burton, 31, has a 2.40 ERA with 7.8 K/9 and 2.2 BB/9 in 41 1/3 innings for the Twins this year. He's earning a salary of $750K and will go to arbitration this coming offseason before hitting free agency after 2013.

We don’t need a reliver JD, find a SP pls..
Andrew Ward
They want to put Ogando in the rotation, so yes they do need a reliever
Cornelius Williams
SP should come first, they should leave Ogando where he is and go after a SP, i think..
Nick Mancuso
Ridiculous. Unless it’s for one of Texas’s current starters or top 5 prospects, this should not happen. Twins have very few blue chips and the cheap ones they do have like Burton here need to stay in house.

Blue chips? Burton’s a 31-year-old with a massive platoon split that’s coming off major surgery. You don’t build around a guy like that, and the Rangers definitely aren’t taking someone from their rotation and trading them for him.
If they can even get a “B” prospect for him, Terry Ryan makes that deal.

Makes sense, add to the BP, insert Ogando into the rotation

Not exactly what i had in mind from Mr. Daniels…..

Get it done we need some more Trades to talk about MLB Network meaning ones that haven’t been bought up, and it’s time for Span to go to.

Come on JD pull the trigger on something…

you dont make a move just to make a move. That is when you start failing as a franchise.
Cornelius Williams
I don’t understand waiting to the last min, trade away a few prospects for some good SP pitching for god sake…
M.Kit
I’m glad you aren’t any team’s GM
oz10 2
i actually wish he was the Angels GM
Cornelius Williams
How can every other team like the Yankee’s & Angels get top notch SP and we can’t… JD needs to step up his GM game..
Sky14
What SP did the Yankees get?
Cornelius Williams
Good job JD, glad you where listening…
