Tonight's minor moves..
- Left-hander C.J. Nitkowski announced via Twitter that he has agreed to a minor league deal with the Mets and will report to Double-A Binghamton. The 39-year-old, who last appeared in the majors in 2005 with the Nationals, added that this will be his "last shot" at getting back to the big leagues. Nitkowski pitched in Japan and Korea from 2007-2010 and auditioned for the Mets back in March.
This is Nitkowski’s last shot. He got a call and he’s trying to make the most of it. Best of luck to him. Still think the Mets could really use an arm like Will Ohman too just to sure things up. He’d come at league minimum and gets lefties out.

I’d like to see him capture his old form but this guy was never good.
better than you 😛
go dad
Didn’t he have the same procedure done that Colon had? I think I remember reading that he said he was gonna try it.Â
Let’s hope alderson hit the jackpot with this guy
Lefty relievers are a fickle bunch…you never know when you will catch lightning in a bottle with one. If I were Sandy I’d be signing any of these guys (Ohman, Feuntes, the old guy down the street, anyone with a left arm) and hoping one of them finds something, at least for a couple of months.
