Oh man I can’t wait to see all the one-sided trade suggestions get downvoted like mad now.
Wait for the first thread dominated by a Red Sox v. Yankees discussion.
There are other teams?
My body is ready.
Pics or it didn’t happen.
I’ve never been a fan of the new system…
I don’t really like this either, but then agian I’m not a big fan of change.
I like it, because it makes it known how people as a whole think of trade proposals and such, by allowing both positive and negative voting.
That, and as a Facebook hater, I hate the “Like” button. Now I can voice my apporval without feeling dirty.
Now there are ‘Votes’ instead of ‘Likes’. I HATE THE SYSTEM! Just kidding ;P.
Good call Tim
Is there no “edit” button on this format?
All of my posts have edit options right next to the voting buttons.
Bleck. If I wanted to read upvoted/downvoted comments I’d browse Reddit.
I don’t mind Reddit when it’s on Reddit. The Reddit system doesn’t seem natural for a blog where posts are frequently updated several times over the course of a day.
Exactly. Reddit works quite well for what it is, and can be a lot of fun to browse. But for something like this, with a much smaller community and thus fewer posts, it’s just easier to read in chronological order; and like you say, if the posts are updated regularly that makes it even more confusing (early post about starting pitching trades for Zambrano upvoted “White Sox should trade Peavy for Zambrano”, then later it is updated to note that the Marlins have traded for him, in which case the upvoted post makes no sense)…
Click the Discussion dropdown and choose which way you want to see comments. Problem solved.
I realize this isn’t a difficult thing to fix, but I don’t think that eliminates the value of discussing what the best default is. Lots of people won’t change the setting and/or won’t know about it.
Agreed. I hate the new upvote/downvote system here.
Wow… I’m a top 10 commentator. Not sure if I should be determined to reach for #1 or just cry in a corner.
Ha. I forgot about Moonraker. He still made the cut and has been gone forever.
Haha, where do you find that out?
Nevermind, I see it now. I’m 6th.
Watch out… I’m apparently gunning for you.
I didn’t realize I was that high up here either.
this is the greatest day of my life
You should get a new life (Note the irony based on my last comment).
Mine too- and im old
I *am* sad that I can’t seem to see who “liked” my post anymore 🙁
BUT! It does do minimum width, so no more of those comments with one letter per line
I liked those, they were sorta funny

I’m having issues loading comments on a number of posts on here. It just stays at “loading” forever (or substitute 45 minutes to be more accurate). I was somewhat surprised I could comment on this post given my troubles.
Works for me on Chrome and IE 8, what version of what browser are you failing with?
I was using IE8. Most of the problems appear to be gone now. Probably just launch day tuning.
Look forward to seeing how this works out.
Narcissism means the love of your self, its an addiction to measuring your performance on commenting. Once you lose the love of your face in the mirror maybe this is where you go. There are a lot of us, what should we do?
