The Rockies have agreed to sign first round draft pick David Dahl, Kendall Rogers of Perfect Game USA reports (on Twitter). Dahl, the 10th overall selection, will obtain a $2.6MM bonus, according to Rogers. Dahl flew to Denver Monday and an announcement can be expected later today, Tracy Ringolsby of ROOT Sports reports (on Twitter).
MLB recommends a bonus of $2.7MM for the 10th overall selection, according to Baseball America. Dahl, a high school outfielder, bats left-handed and has plus speed, a strong arm, and power potential, according to BA.

David Dahl surely has talent but he’s a lot more project than the Rockies are letting on so don’t be surprised if he doesn’t turn into a 20-25 HR, 30 steal guy.
He could surprise, as he has talent but he looks like a fourth outfielder, at best, to me right now. His power profile is not exciting and most believe he will one day play a corner outfield spot.

i agree with the HR statement but his speed has been proven.
