We are proud to announce our new NBA rumors site, Hoops Rumors! Luke Adams and his team of NBA fanatics are covering rumors and transactions 365 days a year with the style, timeliness, and analysis you've come to love on MLBTR. The team has been quietly covering all the latest for the past week, so there is plenty of reading material.
The NBA trade deadline is just over a month away, so head over to Hoops Rumors to get the latest trustworthy information from around the web on Dwight Howard, Chris Kaman, Stephen Jackson and more. If you like what you see, please bookmark the site, follow us on Twitter, and like us on Facebook.
awesome. i can take all of my complaining about Dodgers’ issues and Yankees spending and head over there to defend Lakers spending issues and mock Knicks fans.
Troll alert!
I’m sure this means something to someone, somewhere.
Have to find out which team a player picks to be traded to. Then wait and see if David Stern wants that team to contend this year. If not, trade is blocked.
That was one time but I think he did the right thing and the situation is iffy because the NBA pretty much owns the Hornets.
I doubt it…they suck.
YES! Awesome. GO MAGIC!
Looks good. Wish I could have made the cut to be a part of it.
I’d LOVE if this site branched off to an NHL Rumors page!
NBA…meh
No one watches hockey in the us…. meh
he wasn’t talking about the us… meh
I used to watch the Brady Bunch on Nick@Night… meh
i do…meh
that’s why you an angel fan
Hey Ryan, where do you live? You might be my nephew.
I’m in the US and I watch every (NY) Ranger game, just as I watch every Yankee game.
Your logic is flawed.
That’s a lot of games.
It’s really quite easy. I almost always have nothing better to do at 7pm. Besides I’d rather watch the game than do much of anything else. And games I can’t watch live I go to the internet to watch, as long as the game hasn’t been spoiled.
I can’t wait for Dwight Howard Trade rumors to be a daily post. Oh wait…
Go Suns!
I’m not much of a basketball fan but it’s still cool. Nice work. Any chance of NFL and NHL trade rumor sites?
I’d personally be interested in NFLTR if they branch off again anytime soon.
Have you seen how many trades actually happen in the NFL?
Not many, but there would be plenty of information to put out during the offseason for free agent signings and extension candidates.
NFL is already pretty beat down and there’s just not many trades. A really well-run NHL site I could see really taking off. That would be cool.
That would be awesome but PFT pretty much as the NFL wrapped up. Also hockeybuzz, as unreliable as the rumors are, has a lot of quality bloggers and is a good source as well. Would be nice to see some competition though, and nothing beats the simple and effective style of MLBTR.
Every rumor is unreliable. Not just in one sport or another. If they were reliable the Yankees would have Cliff Lee.
Basketball is awful. I’ll stick to MLBTR
I’m all jazzed about this
You must live in Utah
There should be a rumors page just for David Stern and all the trades he denies.
Does Larry Bird still play? Don’t think so.. Better stick to this awesome site alone, but thx anyway for the heads up.
Still waiting for RacquetballRumors.
Not to be negative or wish anyone anything other than success in their endeavors, but it’s hard for me to see long term success in this one.
Hopefully I am wrong. GL.
Hoops Hype is very popular, so is RealGm
It amazes me how many people take time out of their day to post on a basketball related post how much they hate basketball. Come on, guys. I’m excited for this site and I’ll be visiting regularly.
glad to see it.
Seattle getting a team back!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cant wait to see the type of comments on that site. Not that I’m saying baseball fans are a lot more intelligent……………
Awesome!!
finally, that’s about to be my new favorite website
Awesome, now I can follow NBA rumors everyday!
So, when can we expect one for NHL?
Nice! Hockey next?!
this is more exciting then a barn-raising!
I’ll be excited about this when basketball is as good as it was back in the early 90’s.
Should be called “thug rumors”.
“Should be called “thug rumors”
Who brought up Rick Mahorn??
So by that notion, should we be calling your posts “thinly veiled racism?”
Congrats Tim and Luke ! Good luck with your new site. Tim, you’re an empire builder! Good for you!!
There needs to be an NHLTR. NBA is a waste of time
“There needs to be an NHLTR. NBA is a waste of time”
You do realize that it does not even snow in roughly 1/4 of the nation, much less stay cold long enough for ice. It is kind of hard for people in those areas to have ANY interest in chasing a puck across an arena covered in ice and many of the people there never grew up with ice skates laced on…
Just a reminder for many who always wonder why most in the south have little regard for the NHL… Though I did grow up (decades back) in an area way further up in the south than where am now and it was colder than here in Florida.
And there should still be an NHLTR
If you’re basing it off of popularity of the league, a site like HoopsRumors should definitely be before an NHLTR site, basketball is currently the third most popular sport in the country and is fast closing in on baseball for second, with football in first. Hockey is holding a steady fourth.
I’m being selfish because I hate basketball and love hockey 🙂
Fair enough, a little bit of selfishness now and then is always good IMO.
Why did you have to quote it? If you reply to a short post like that. Im pretty sure we all know what you are referring to.
Just a reminder that some areas fans don’t pay attention to the sport much at all and that includes some that have a team even, like the Tampa Bay area some.
Not dicing the sport, as posted that originally from WV and enjoy it, even had season tickets to the lightning the 1st year they played at the Thunderdome and cheered on Vladimir “Rosy” Ruzicka, my favorite Bruin.. Only reason a friend of mine and myself even got the tickets was to watch him…
It’s just that the sport does not garner much local media and the further north one goes (I even notice) the more rabid support is, like when I travel “home” to WV.
Was why mentioned that originally. Can truly understand how fans from places like Canada, Michigan, Minnesota feel about the sport when many are ice skating when they learn to walk pretty much, but many areas of the country that just does not apply and support for the sport is nearly non existent as a result, unless they learned to enjoy the sport from skating elsewhere.
I dig it! You guys need to do a football site too!
I agree with the football one
Just bookmarked it and put in on my RSS feed. Thanks for the hard work guys.
Lol @ people acting like this new site won’t last. I love baseball more than anything and even I’m aware of the fact that basketball has been garnering a hell of a lot more interest than baseball recently.
When can we see an iphone app?
basketball is a sport?
Great site!!!
NBA – The Other Soccer.
What i really enjoy is that in the alphabetical listing of teams on the sidebar the Raptors are below the Trail Blazers.
