Let's keep track of the day's minor league signings right here…
- The Red Sox have re-signed Rich Hill to a minor league deal with an invite to Spring Training, reports John Tomase of The Boston Herald (on Twitter). The 31-year-old left-hander struck out a dozen in eight scoreless innings with the Sox last year before blowing out his elbow. He's currently rehabbing from Tommy John surgery.

Good news.

He’s thrown 12 big league innings for the Sox in the last two seasons and has not given up a single run. Take that for what it’s worth, but I think this is a nice little signing that can work out really well if Hill stays healthy.

Not a single run in 12 innings. Wow wow we wow I hope your being sarcastic

If you think he is joking please continue to read:
12 innings 0 runs, if you were to project those numbers for an entire season, MR Hill will accumulate around 70 innings and have an ERA of 0.00….mmmmmmmmmmmm yummy;)

I was trying to say that he’s looked okay when the Sox have called him up. I’m not saying this guy is a savior, but just a nice resigning.

Nice Sox.

shame what happened to him. after that 2007 season with the cubs, i thought he was gonna be something special.

I like this deal. He’s local and he was off to a great start before the injury. It’s a nice little sign of loyalty from both sides and he could be a valuable bullpen arm at some point next season.

I’m a fan.

The Sox needed a cheap Lefty, is Rich the answer?? I sure hope so, lots of luck to the struggling underdog!!

Glad to see this signing. As Karkat wrote, a little loyalty from each side.

i remember a few seasons ago tim ranked rich hill as a top ten fantasy pitcher over on rotoauthority. so close.

Hope Rich can get his act together again. For a short while he was pretty good and that curve of his was down right wicked.
