Yuni Betancourt. Ahahaha
The_BiRDS
Betancourt is prob the best option.. Younger and cheaper
goredsgo
you know theres a bunch of geezers on the markey when you consider betancourt “younger and cheeper”
The_BiRDS
younger and cheaper than Rollins anyway
Raylan Givens' Stetson
I wonder if a cardboard cutout would bring better production than Betancourt…it certainly would draw more walks.

That’s hilarious

He should sign with Colorado, they need a SS.

He should sign with anyone that isn’t the Brewers.

Empty minor league system and 2 of 3 players traded to Royals starting next year….

By resigning Betanourt, it free’s up cash to sign someone like Aramis Rameriz which would be a huge upgrade at 3B, and there could still be room to move on a 1B like Pena who will no doubt be a steal on a short term deal because of last seasons production.
brownstove
I don’t think that would be a very good move. Yes, Aramis Rameriz would be a huge improvement over anything else we have, but I thought I heard him talk about free agency earlier, and he said that he wanted an expensive, multi-year deal (something like three years, thirty-six million or so). I don’t think that would be great, because that’s a lot of money for someone who is past his prime and has issues with staying healthy. Although Melvin loves spending money on players who aren’t worth it, so who knows, it could happen

Milwaukee – The entertainment unit in my living room will sign for half the money of Yuni and you’ll get better range. Give me a call.

Now the love affair that is Yuniesky Betancourt and Doug Melvin can continue. Everything about this makes me want to vomit, Furcal probably resigns with Cards, they win division, and the Crew misses wild card by the 12+ games Yuni personally destroys with his defense. Horrible news.
cardsdrummer
I’m good with the Cards resigning Furcal, as long as it means dumping Theriot and giving Tyler Greene a shot.
