Here are the latest players to get outrighted to the minor leagues…
- The Orioles announced that they outrighted left-hander Mike Ballard to Double-A and outrighted right-hander Mitch Atkins to Triple-A. They also announced that they optioned left-hander Mark Hendrickson to Triple-A.
Isn’t optioned the wrong term for Hendrickson? He’s not on the 40 man roster any more, so shouldn’t that be outrighted?
No way Hendrickson has any options left.
I am surprised he IS an option let alone have any left to use.
Well he was designated for assignment. His only other ‘option’ was unemployment.
He has a contract in which they built options in it. The Orioles released a story on it.
