Just in time for the offseason, our iPhone app is now available! It is listed as Baseball Trade Rumors in the app store and costs $2.99. You can search the store or just click this link. The app has been described as "beyond belief" by legendary journalist Peter Gammons.
The bread and butter of the app is the customizable push notifications. By default it sends an alert to your iPhone for all transactions, and you can also add alerts for any combination of players, teams, and leagues you desire. If you want to be the first to know where Cliff Lee is headed, who the Tigers are looking at, or anything else hot stove-related, this app can accommodate you.
The headlines page of the app shows our 25 latest posts, no ads, easily refreshed. Individual posts with hyperlinks can be viewed, of course. You can also leave comments on MLBTradeRumors.com through the app. Check it out today!

Ditto to jeffy.
I hardly know anyone who still has an iphone. The few that do complain all the time.
Josh
Of all the people with iPhones (myself included), I hardly know anyone who complains about their iPhone.
easton714
Good for you, Josh.
My company dropped iPhones in favor of Droid Xs and Droid 2s.
I dropped iPhone.
My wife dropped iPhone.
My sister and brother-in-law dropped iPhone.
My sister-in-law and her family dropped iPhone.
My three closest friends dropped iPhone.
The only person close to me who still has one is my brother-in-law and he only still has it because it is a company phone – and he used to be the biggest iPhone cheerleader on the planet. On vacation this past July he spent hours playing with my Droid X and contemplated ‘accidentally’ dropping his iPhone in the lake.
In the end, I was just making an observation. Literally 95% of the people I know have Android phones.

wow and people say that iphone users are smug assholes.
Al Briggs
that’s because they dont want to make uncle steve angry.

No complaints on iphones..really? How about the grip of death? You know where everyone had to get an ipod bumper because if you gripped the phone you’d automatically lose reception and your call would be dropped. You never had that issue and don’t know 1 person who did?
Encarnacion's Parrot
I’ve never had that problem. Then again, I guess there’s too many idiots that ‘grip’ their phone to death.
iPhone and Android are both excellent phones.
T Morgan
Still know a lot of people that have the iPhone, the complaints I hear are not about the phone but rather about At&t. I’ve used the droid before, and it is IMO a little harder to use than the iPhone. But I might think different if I had used it for longer.

I’m ready for my BlackBerry app now ’cause reading posts from my phone….NOT happening.
Tim Dierkes
You can try mlbtraderumors.mobi
invader3k
That is a nice website on my Blackberry, but it doesn’t let you view reader posts, which is kind of a bummer.
Infield Fly
↑ What he said.
C’mon Tim…help a BlackBerry usin’ baseball junkie out! 😉

When’s the Motorola Razor app coming out?
TheRealMaxPower
ANDROID PLEASE! thank you
T Morgan
Will this be an App that we have to buy again next year?
Tim Dierkes
Nope
Encarnacion's Parrot
Is the app only for the off-season? Or is this something that’s planned to be used 365 days a year?
riotmute
No Android, please
wickedkevin
To everyone bashing the iphone, good for you. I love my iPhone. Grip of death really only effects lefties. Get over it. This post is not for a competition between os’. Now let’s stay on topic on the app itself and not turn this into a stupid flame war.
cubs223425
What about righties trying to take notes of something while on the phone?
Also, the grip of death is a hardware issue, not an OS issue.
wickedkevin
I know it’s a hardware issue, I did not say it was an os issue. But people are turning this into an os competition. All you are doing is adding to the flame war. Bring it to the mac forums.
JaySchu
Android please
Louie Schuth
Why is it baseball trade rumors though?
dire straits
You guys are really trying to sell this, huh?
Brian
I will buy it for android. Just Sayin. THe demand is out there, Tim.
Jorge
Peter Gammons like this, which begs the question of whether the app gives updates on teams other than the Boston Red Sox. I can train a parrot to tell me “Casey Kelly is great!” 🙂
C_Rat
Checking in for android as well. Apple still doesnt know what a widget is but that debate is for another website. Andoid app would do well.
cubs223425
Is no one going to ask for a Windows Phone 7 app?
Rhendricks
I’m sitting lonely cheering for the Palm Web OS app..
Al Briggs
