The Indians got a head start on trading season last month, when they dealt Russell Branyan to the Mariners. However, that may not be the last move the Indians make before July 31st, as trade rumors have continued to follow a handful of their veterans. Today's poll question:
Who will the Indians trade next?

I voted for Carmona, but I’m willing to bet both Wood and Carmona are gone. Now that I heard that the Brewers are interested in Carmona (albeit, from Nick Cafardo), I’m thinking a deal might get done quickly.

I voted for Wood because they probably wanna get their younger kids in there, and you have to either unload his giant contract or keep it. Also, a lot of teams are in the market for a reliever.

I don’t understand why the Indians would trade Carmona. He’s young, healthy, bouncing back from injuries and two disappointing seasons and he’s signed to a cheap contract. Trading him makes absolutely no sense to me.

Even though i am not a indians fan i would hate to see Carmona go and I hope he doesn’t. I believe they will try to trade Kerry Wood because he is on a terrible salary and he has been just down right awful for the indians lately. They have to get him out of that organization.

I said Wood because I think they want to let Chris Perez try closing again, and there are probably going to be a lot of contenders interested in an extra veteran arm in the bullpen.
I think Carmona could be traded too, but I think Wood’s asking price will be less, and every team needs a bullpen arm.

Why would Cleveland trade Carmona to Milwaukee, when they are headed to 5th place in the NL Central? Carmona and Wood are going to contenders if they are traded.. I say Carmona to the Twins for JJ Hardy plus a propect…. he’s worthless anyway.. and Wood to Philly.. although Wood is from Texas so that might make sense too and they wouldn’t have to give up any ML player for Wood either

I could see why Milwaukee would want Carmona-four of their five starters throw from the left side, and they have had trouble getting pitchers that want to come there. It isn’t the easiest park to pitch in. Carmona wouldn’t really be to make something of this year; he would be there for the next few years. Milwaukee may give up on the idea of contending this year, but they have no plans to completely dismantle. And they shouldn’t. They are in the NL Central, and like the AL Central, it doesn’t take much or long to turn yourself around.
I don’t know why the Indians would want to deal Carmona though. The only reason that makes sense is that they don’t believe he can maintain the gains he made this season. He does still have a pretty bad K/BB ratio.

JJ Hardy and a “prospect” for Carmona? Are you mental?
Carmona will not be traded unless the Indians are blown away with an offer of young, close to the majors pitching.
End of discussion

then Carmona won’t be traded then Twins I am sure have a few prospect they can part with but Hardy has to be involved he’s just a cancer for them i am shocked they wanted him in the first place
Sage
J.J. Hardy is a “cancer” for them? What the heck are you talking about?
dazzlerman
You’re right, Carmona likely won’t be traded.
There’s no reason for the Indians to do it unless they get blown away.

I’m talking about he’s like the White Milton Bradley just hasn’t been on 10 teams in in as many yrs.. he’s just not that good.. Average at best.. better then Bradley actually not by much but better
