I think the ability to flag comments for spam or vulgar comments would be more effective in keeping the site clean
You can “flag” comments.

That ability does exist, just hit Flag and our moderators should be notified. Flag only appears if you hover over it though, on the left side below the comment text.

Change Flag to a little button in the same style as ‘Like’ and ‘Reply’, so it stands out more.
