He was booed loudly just like every other road game of his career, though he silenced the home crowd – at least temporarily – with a two-run homer in the first inning.

I agree, I don’t think Hoffman is done. He’s had 13 innings Granted he’s an RP, but that still is a very small sample size.

Have you watched the Hoffman performances? The hitters are treating it like a home run derby. They are teeing up on him. The only thing saving him is that sometimes the batters treat it too much like a derby and forget that Hoffman is actually trying to get them out.
