WEDNESDAY, 1:03pm: Misch cleared waivers and was sent to Triple A, writes Matthew Cerrone of MetsBlog. This is the time of year to get guys through waivers, as 40-man roster spots are at a premium.
TUESDAY, 3:40pm: Mets pitcher Pat Misch has been placed on waivers, tweets Rich Coutinho of ESPN Radio. The 28-year-old southpaw posted a 4.48 ERA, 3.3 K/9, and 3.2 BB/9 in 62.3 innings for the Mets and Giants last year. He logged another 52.3 innings in the minors, with better peripherals. Misch wasn't particularly good against lefties or righties last year, though the samples are limited.

I’m taking the Padres or Twins but we all know it’s going to be the Blue Jays.

why would the Padres take Misch? They have a great bullpen

I would have liked to see The Misch pitch for the Mets as opposed to Oliver Perez.

3.3 K/9? I knew Misch was a pretty garbage pitcher, but wow.

He was bad against lefties and righties, but against those that didn’t swing from either side, he was great. Also very good against guys who were blind in one eye and couldn’t see out of the other.

The reality is the Met pitching is shaky and we aren’t as good as the Phillies. OK I can deal with that, but when did Mets fans become so weak. I mean we had swagger, stood up for our players/teams, and lived by the “You Gotta believe” motto. I took pride in being a Met fan but all this whiny, crying, blaming, and complaining is WEAK WEAK WEAK!!!!!!!!! We are better than this. I’m not saying be a blind follower but c’mon already this is pathetic.

I don’t see why everyone is blasting Misch he pitched well in relief and could also fill in for perez when he gets hurt and or sent down. Happy to see him clear waivers!
