A few dozen arbitration-eligible players have yet to agree on 2010 salaries. As settlements are reached, we'll house them here.
- Brewers pitcher Dave Bush reached an agreement with the club just short of the filing midpoint, tweets MLB.com's Adam McCalvy. Bush had filed at $4.45MM, the Brewers at $4.125MM. This is Bush's final arbitration year; he earned $4MM in '09. Corey Hart and Carlos Villanueva are the Brewers' two remaining arbitration-eligible players.

I don’t know what they are going to do with Dave this season? Bullpen possibly. He doesnt fit in the Rotation…
Gallardo
Wolf
Davis
Suppan
Parra

Bush will be the #4, with either Parra or Sup as the long reliever. Don’t be surprised if Parra / Hart end up with the Mets for John Maine & OF depth…

there are no chances of that trade happening.

If Suppan isn’t doing mop up (I literally wouldn’t mind if they paid him his 12.5mil just to mop all of the sunflower seed shells off of the dugout’s floor, even) duty come opening day, then Doug Melvin isn’t doing his job. Bush struggles with his consistency, but he goes through stretches of greatness. I sat in the crowd for a game where he threw 8 plus innings of no-hit baseball… he was on point. His curve was really working. He may not be a tremendous “stuff” guy, and can’t seem to avoid the big inning sometimes, but he is a vastly superior option to Suppan. I see him as a number 4, or getting cut to save a few dollars during the spring. Forget the bullpen.

I would put him above Parra

Rotation will be:
Gallardo
Wolf
Davis
Bush
Para
First of all, I think we all know that Suppan is not getting the job done, we just need to suck it up for another year and throw him in the bullpen. You never know what he might do there. Adding Bush wasn’t a bad move at all because the option of signing Mulder will open up a huge toss up for the rotation. When is the last time the Brewers have had options on our rotation? I think we should be a little more worried about our bullpen right now…
