1-20-09: According to La Velle E. Neal III of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, the Twins signed Jason Kubel to a two-year deal with a third-year option, pending a physical. The deal buys out Kubel’s final two arb years and gives the Twins an option on his first free agent season.
