MLB.com’s Jordan Bastian says A.J. Burnett rejected the Blue Jays’ offer of arbitration, as expected. Burnett has multiple offers on the table, perhaps including one for five years guaranteed. He’s a Type A free agent, so the Jays will get two draft picks if he signs elsewhere.
One of Burnett’s offers is from the Braves. It is reportedly worth $75MM over five years if the fifth year vests.
