So now the Angels have been terrible for 7 straight years? Where is this guy pulling data?
Back in 2011 we had a middle of the pack farm system but trades and bad drafts have taken their toll.
I don’t understand how you can write a statement like that and then call yourself an expert on the Angels NEEDING to trade Trout.
Halo27
It’s the best player in baseball. Can’t even start the trade discussion with the name Sanchez.
Doc Halladay
Stroman for Blackmon just doesn’t make sense for the Jays. I’m not opposed to dealing Stroman but it’d have to be in a deal that involves both a starter and an outfielder coming back.

Who gives a crap about your opinion on Chapman? Who are you lol.
Priggs89
He is Wayne Cavadi. And I’m assuming people that read his blog give a crap about his opinion.

Again. WHO??? loser !

Angels trade Trout just shoot the GM, They better get a truckload of players,
Halo27
But even then there had better be some MLB ready talent in the deal. Prospects are just prospects. Maybe 2 out of 9 will be of long term benefit to the team. And yes, I would be the first in line to shoot Eppler if he traded Trout. Hell, maybe Stanton and Goldschmidt should be traded to the Yankees as well. Not going to win where they are.

A 3-way trade that makes sense is Jay Bruce to SF, David Robertson to NYM, and prospects to CWS.
I’m guessing the Mets need to send a low level high ceiling prospect, and the Giants a high level low ceiling prospect (but I don’t know the SF system). Luckily, the Mets are well stocked with lower level talent – Luis Guillorme (SS) will play FSL or Eastern League this year; Champ Stuart (CF) in AA too.

Both of those prospects have basically no trade value. Champ could have been taken in the Rule V draft if he did. Robertson is still plenty useful and has value.

No way do I trade that package of players for trout.
Mark 21
I agree. While Trout is a beast and may very well be the best player in the majors he is also being paid like the best player in the majors. You dont give up 6 of your best prospects for a player like him while still having to pay him 30 million a year. Him alone is not going to win you a WS and the players that this trade proposal is suggesting would sure be greater value then Trout will be.
BronxBombers14
Well said. It takes a team. Although having a stud like trout would be great, I’d rather have quality at several positions.
Megadro2000
Lol that trout Yankees trade is so far off… Needs to start with Frazier,Torres,Mateo,Judge, Severino and lots more

Billy Butler isn’t a free agent until after this season.
